Installation Process
Our process: simple, transparent, and efficient
Getting started is as easy as 1,2,3
Send us photos of your building or home and What3Words location and we'll let you know if it’s feasible or not.
Our experts will design your system remotely, based on your specific needs and considering:
- The size, angle, and orientation of your roof (most roofs facing between east and west are suitable).
- The structural integrity of your roof to ensure it can support the forces of a solar PV system.
- Compatibility of your electrical distribution board or consumer unit.
We’ll provide a detailed and transparent quotation and, once you’ve reviewed and accepted it, we’ll take care of the necessary permissions:
- For commercial systems: We’ll apply to the relevant Distribution Network Operator (DNO) for a grid connection offer.
- For domestic systems: Smaller systems under 11kWp typically don’t require prior permission, so we can usually schedule your installation within 3–4 weeks of acceptance.
A few days before installation, scaffolding will be erected to ensure safe access to your roof.
During installation:
- Roof work: The solar panels (and optimisers) will be securely mounted using approved systems suitable for your roof type—whether tiled, flat, or sheet metal.
- Internal work: Our team will install the inverter, isolators, generation meter, and monitoring equipment.
Once everything is in place, your system will be fully tested, commissioned, and connected to the internet for real-time monitoring.
Once your solar PV system is installed and commissioned, you’ll immediately start generating your own electricity.
- Automatic savings: The electricity produced by your solar panels will power your home or business, reducing your reliance on grid-supplied energy.
- Real-time monitoring: We’ll register your system on the SolarEdge monitoring portal and provide you with access, allowing you to track performance and monitor your energy generation anytime, anywhere.
Your journey to energy independence begins here—enjoy the benefits of clean, sustainable power for years to come.
